Suzanne Hannah is a Liar Who Likes to Waste Law Enforcement’s Time

Suzanne Hannah is Lying Trash

So you’re a 69-year-old with some time on her hands, a broken moral compass, and you’re looking for something to do after watching Anderson Cooper. What do you do? Why, travel to Walmart and file a false report of course!

From WYFF:

GREENVILLE, S.C. — The latest in a string of false police reports involves a 69-year-old woman deputies say lied about having her purse snatched.

Suzanne Hannah, 69, of Greenville, is charged with filing a false police report of a felony.

Hannah originally reported that she went shopping at the Walmart at 1452 Woodruff Rd shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Jan 18.

Hannah said when she left the store, she was approached by a dark-skinned man who grabbed her purse and fled on foot. Hannah also said that a bystander chased the “purse snatcher” but was unable to catch up to the man.

Investigators said they learned that Hannah waited almost 24 hours to report the alleged incident, even though she claimed $1600 in cash and a bank card had been stolen. Video surveillance from the business showed that Hannah was not at the business when the alleged incident occurred, deputies said.

Investigators said that they also determined through store records that Hannah never purchased the items she reported going to the store to buy.

She’s out on $2,500 bond. Authorities don’t know what her motive was for filing this report but my wife (who is my authority) thinks she was trying to squeeze money out of Walmart with a sob story. I personally blame the malignant influence of Anderson Cooper, but until we can verify her slavish devotion to the media darling we just can’t be sure.

This is yet another false report in the area which is a huge waste of time and resources. On the other hand, it’s kind of nice to live in an area where false reports of crime are our main concern.

Li’l Cricket Robbery Part of Spree?

Ya think?

Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office Armed Robbery Unit are analyzing surveillance video from the Li’l Cricket on White Horse Road to see if it could be related to several other armed robberies in the area.

In this 7 On Your Side Crime Tracker Alert, the robbery happened Tuesday, January 26 just after 8 p.m. on 6008 White Horse Road near Page Drive. The clerk says three men walked into the store and demanded money from the register. She state that one of them pointed a pistol at her. The clerk handed them the money that was in the register and they ran off. Later investigators discovered that a vehicle may have been located behind the store.

Note to E. Richard Walton, this is a suspect description:

Suspect 1: Black male wearing blue jeans and a very large black t-shirt with a long sleeve yellow or tan shirt underneath and tan leather boots. His head was covered in a white wrap and black bandana. He had an average build and his age is unknown.
Suspect 2: Black male wearing long sleeve black shirt and dark shoes. His face was covered in a black ski mask. He had a slender build and his age is unknown. He held a pistol in his right hand.
Suspect 3: Black male wearing black short sleeve shirt, black pants and black shoes with a ski mask.

Now that’s a description we can work with! Be on the look out and if you’re thinking of getting a job working in a convenience store, the day shift is probably where you want to be.

Three Generic Men in Black T-Shirts Rob Li’l Cricket on White Horse Road

If you own a convenience store on the White Horse you should probably think about closing up before dark. Just putting it out there.

From Greenville News:

Three men armed with guns and wearing ski masks robbed a Li’L Cricket Store on White Horse Road on Tuesday night and fled on foot, authorities said.

All three wore black T-shirts when they robbed the store at 6008 White Horse Road at 8:10 p.m., according to Greenville County Sheriff’s Lt. Scott Wilson.

No shots were fired, and no one was hurt.

He said the three “were dressed in all black” and investigators suspect they had a vehicle nearby.

They were all wearing black t-shirts with their all black outfits? Good to know. Thanks for making sure we get it, E. Richard Walton. It’d be nice to know some more about them though. Were they young? Old? White? Black? Is it too much to ask that a report about dangerous criminals include actual descriptions of the criminals?

But I guess you’ll recognize them from their black t-shirts.

Needless to say, if you have information on this gang of  black t-shirters call Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.

Spartanburg Home Invasion Averted … With Hot Lead

Which is frankly the only way to handle a situation like this sans getting beaten or raped. A little outside our usual territory, but Spartanburg is only a half-hour away so in the interest of raising awareness we bring you this story:

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Deputies said that a homeowner shot a man trying to break into his home on Tuesday morning.

The shooting happened at 632 Nodding Hill Road just after 9 a.m.

The homeowner told FOX Carolina that he was laying on the couch when he heard someone banging on his door and then glass breaking. He said that he went to a bedroom and retrieved his gun. He said that when he came back to the door he saw a hand reaching inside his home and fired.

The man said that he heard several people scream and then run away.

Deputies said that they are interviewing a person who showed up after the shooting at a local hospital, suffering from a gunshot wound. They said they believe there was more than one person involved in the break-in.

And those others are still on the loose and perhaps looking for easier pickings, so be careful. Understand that what we’re talking about here is a group of people who are looking to break into people’s houses in broad daylight and may or may not be targeting houses with people in them. This is a dangerous situation you need to be prepared for.

Even in the largest cities with huge police forces the average response time for cops getting to a 911 call is around two minutes or so. That’s a long time for a gang of criminals to have you, your spouse or your children under their control. Here in Greenville County where there are so many transplants a lot of people aren’t familiar with South Carolina’s fairly libertarian gun laws and common sense approach to self-defense. I’d advise anyone who is home alone to take precautions against home invasion like adding locks to doors or buying a dog (even a small “yippy” dog which can warn you of danger) and check into purchasing a firearm and the training to use it.

If the man above was unarmed and waiting for police to arrive he would likely be dead.

Poorly Worded Headline of the Day: “Law enforcement driving crackdown brings 40 tickets”

Of course our winner is E. Richard Walton writing for The Greenville News. Is law enforcement driving a crackdown? Or are they cracking down on driving? It can’t be the latter since driving isn’t illegal. Hmmm. Let’s see if Mr. Walton can clarify this for us in the body of his piece:

A police traffic safety task force focusing on DUI and speeding wrote about 40 traffic tickets in Greenville County late into Friday night, bringing the total for the month to about 140 citations, a commander said.

The task force was comprised of about a dozen officers from Fountain Inn, the Greenville Police Department, the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, the Highway Patrol and Maudlin police, according to Sgt. Robbie Robertson, a spokesman for the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.

The officers set up two stationary checkpoints, one on Taylors Road, and one on Chick Springs Road; the hours ran from about 8:45 p.m. to 11 p.m., he said. Then the officers spent another hour patrolling various parts of Greenville County.

While there were just five speeding tickets, the other citations included seven tickets for driving without a valid license and six for tag-related violations, Robertson said.

Two people were issued summons for having marijuana in their vehicles after officers smelled it coming from the cars, and another pair were ticketed because they were watching TV when they encountered the task force, he said

Oh. I see. In other words, there was a road safety task force setting up police checkpoints to screen for DUIs and other violations. I guess a headline like “Task Force Issues 40 tickets in DUI sweep!”  was too pedestrian for The Greenville News. Or how about punching things up with “Drug Bust at DUI Checkpoint!” if you were going for something more like newspaper reporting and less like a reach around to the bureaucrat whose job it is to justify these sweeps to budget conscious city and county officials.

You see, Mr. Walton, the number of tickets during your so-called “law enforcement driving crackdown” is only interesting to the people doing the accounting for the cities involved. The stoners endangering our lives by driving around high or the “unlicensed drivers,” some of whom may be illegal aliens or better yet (in terms of interest), people who have already had their licenses yanked for DUI is what people read the news for. This is what will have an effect on their lives, what they need to read about. Unless the number of tickets is unusually low (meaning the program made the roads safer), the number of tickets handed out is not the lead.

But hey, E. Richard Walton is the “real journalist” here so maybe I’m wrong.
