Ann Marie Moriarty Accused of Impersonating a Nurse to Commit Robberies

A Greenville woman gained access to medical offices and office buildings by impersonating a nurse or custodian, then stole from employees,  Greenville deputies allege.

Ann Marie Moriarty of GreenvilleAnn Marie Moriarty, 51, is facing multiple fraud charges as well as charges of burglary and larceny.

Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office White Collar Crime Unit said once inside the offices, Moriarty stole from employees’ purses while the workers were out of the office.

Moriarty was taken into custody on Monday and remains at the Greenville County Detention Center.

Three other agencies have submitted inmate hold requests: the Simpsonville Police Department, the Travelers Rest Police Department, and the Greer Police Department.  She is reportedly wanted in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia on similar charges
