Another Cut-Rate Mexican Plastic Surgery Ring Found in South Carolina
Ladies, if there’s one thing you don’t want to go bargain basement on it’s elective surgery. Go to a real doctor for any procedure you want and your first clue that you’re not at a real doctor is when they want to operate on you in one of their friend’s low-rent condos:
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C., June 23 (UPI) — Police in North Myrtle Beach, S.C., say they arrested three people who allegedly performed liposuction on a teen in a condominium bedroom.
Police said authorities found out about the incident when the 19-year-old woman went to Grand Strand Regional Hospital last week, complaining of dizziness, vomiting and bleeding, WYFF-TV, Greenville, S.C., reported.
The woman told police she was driven from a mall to the Ashley Park Apartments June 16, where she paid a woman $1,500. She was to pay another $1,500 the following day.
After being given several pills that left her unconscious, the teen was operated on in a bedroom. She awoke as she was being driven home.
Police issued a search warrant for the apartment and arrested and charged Miguel Orozco, 31, Nubia Trujillo, 53, and Adriana Neibles, 41, with practicing medicine without a license, assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and accessory before the fact of a felony.
Like the recent case in Mauldin the worst part of this whole situation is how exploitative this scam is. It plays upon the victim’s ignorance of how American medical professionals work and the danger involved in even minor surgical procedures. These scum need the book thrown at them.
