Armed Robberies at Greenville Convenience Stores

Armed robberies of two Spinx conveniences stores are under investigation by the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office. No one was injured during either robbery, and deputies are unsure if the crimes are connected.

The first of the two robberies took place at the Spinx at 3815 White Horse Road early Wednesday morning.  Two black male suspects threatened the cashier and customers with a handgun and made off with an unspecified amount of cash.  News Channel 7 published the following description of the suspects.

The first suspect is described as approximately 5-foot-2 and 150-pounds wearing a red hoodie and bandana over his face. The second suspect is described as six-foot-tall with a slim build, wearing a black hoodie and ski mask.

The suspects reportedly left the scene on foot.

Another Spinx store at 94 Allen Street was robbed by three men early this morning. A clerk was robbed at gunpoint, a Sheriff’s Office spokesman said, and the thieves fled with money and a carton of cigarettes.

The suspects in the robbery are described as black males, between 20-35 years old and approximately six-feet-tall. The suspect who allegedly pointed the gun was wearing a brown hoodie, blue jeans and ski mask, while the second suspect was wearing a black hoodie with a white design on the hood, blue jeans and a white rag on his face. The third suspect was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, white t-shirt wrapped on his head and a black rag on his face.
