Armed Robbery at Li’l Cricket on Sulphur Springs Rd.

Armed robbers targeted the the Li’l Cricket convenience store on Sulphur Springs Road in Greenville overnight.  Two suspects reportedly pointed guns at a store employee and demanded cash from the register (as armed robbers are apt to do.)  The suspects fled on foot and no one was injured.

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office provided News Channel 7 with the following descriptions:

Suspect #1:  Male, 5’8”, 130, wearing a black jacket with red sleeves, white shirt or bandana over his face, with black and white tennis shoes, carrying a handgun

Suspect #2:  Male, 5’8”, 130, wearing a white hoodie with “Tokyo” written on the back, black tennis shoes, carrying a handgun

Investigators with the Armed Robbery Unit are reviewing surveillance video for leads.  Hopefully they’ll be able to come up with something more specific than “two skinny dudes of indeterminate race.”

This Li’l Cricket location has been targeted on multiple occasions, including once in August 2009 and once in August 2007.

Update, Dec. 15, 2009:
