Body Found in Simpsonville: Rebecca Ann Walsh, 30

WYFF is reporting that a body was found on Hipps Road in Simpsonville and the cause of death has yet to be determined:

Greenville County, S.C. — The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a dead body found on Hipps Road in Simpsonville.

Greenville County officials say neighbors alerted fire officials about the body earlier today.

Fire officials then contacted the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office who started an investigation.

A spokeswoman for the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office says there was no obvious signs of trauma to the body.

The story is developing.

Update: An Autopsy will be performed tomorrow to determine manner of death.

Update 2: The body has been identified as 30-year-old Rebecca Ann Walsh of Simpsonville, according to Greenville County Chief Deputy Coroner Mike Ellis.

Update 3: The manner and cause of death were not conclusively determined during autopsy. Toxicology results are pending.

    Rebecca Walsh was an old friend and I am just wondering if ther was a casue of death or if there was a story on her death?

    None was announced officially. An anonymous source said it may have been drug related but if that’s the case the authorities haven’t confirmed. News reports indicate that they never figured out what killed her.

    There was no trauma to the body and foul play isn’t, as far as I know, suspected.
