A few days ago Jessi Dawn Royal was arrested in a meth lab in Simpsonville along with Julie Leigh Wilder and Christopher Charles Frey. All three were charged with manufacturing meth, and Royal was charged with unlawful possession of a prescription drug.

Rumor has it that Royal shouldn’t have been out on the streets in the first place since she killed someone while driving high. Sure enough a quick check of the Greenville County public records shows that in 2010 a Jessie Dawn Royal pled guilty to 0395-DUI / Felony driving under the influence, death results. If this is the same Jessie Dawn why is she not only still on the streets, but cooking meth and buying scripts? Because she got some serious hug-a-thug treatment with probation and a license suspension.

This time let’s keep her in the joint.

Of course, one is actually an adult at 19 so as usual we see the local media minimizing the crime by describing people who should do a couple of years in prison as children.

In the past few years Greenville has seen an increase in homeless youths as the city becomes more hospital to the drifting masses making the “circuit” from the big northeastern cities in the summer to the deep south in the winter. Despite the PC nonsense the majority of homeless have severe drug and alcohol problems – which is why they can’t get into shelters or section 8 housing. The mugshots of the two above seem to indicate they too like the drugs and seem to either be homeless or simply trying to fit in with homeless freinds. Since police caught them sitting in a public garage rather than fleeing the area I assume they hit this lady for drug money. The downtown is lousy with dealers these days.

Two teenagers were arrested after police say they robbed a woman at knife-point in downtown Greenville.

Acacia Brooke Pitts, 19, and Morgan Jean Key, 17, were arrested.

Pitts is charged with having an unlawful weapon, giving false name to police, armed robbery and possession of a knife during a violent crime.

Key is charged with giving false information to police, armed robbery, possession of knife during a violent crime.

The victim told police that the teens, who were armed with a knife, approached her last Thursday and she gave them her purse.

The victim was able to provide a description and police said the teens were found in the stairwell of the Bowater parking garage, dressed in the clothing the victim had described.

Police say both teens confessed to the robbery.

Throw the book at them!

It should be noted that these mixtures are legal – yet someone committed a crime to get them. Odd. I though legalizing drugs would stop drug crime.

So much for a safe legal high. Even if this guy isn’t “addicted” to this stuff and he just planned on selling it this disproves the idea that legalizing drugs stops drug crimes because, again, this stuff is perfectly legal.

Anyway cops have pictures of the guy so he’ll be caught eventually.

More meth madness in South Carolina:

ROCK HILL — A Rock Hill woman is in jail after a meth lab exploded at her home Friday afternoon.

Sonya Sloan Burton, 37, of 546 Brush Creek Road is charged with third degree arson, unlawful neglect of a child, three counts of unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine in the presence of a minor, and other charges related to the possession and manufacturing of drugs, according to a website maintained by the York County Sheriff’s Office.

A York County Sheriff’s Office report says that three suspects, including two men who later fled the scene, were allegedly cooking methamphetamine in the bathroom when the explosion occurred. The explosion caused $20,000 in damage to the mobile home, the report states.

Burton had burns on her right arm and was transported to Piedmont Medical Center where she was treated and arrested upon release, the report says.

Four teenagers aged 18 and younger were at the residence. Two of the teens were identified as the suspect’s children.

About three dozen responders arrived on scene to extinguish the fire and gather evidence.

Hey but if we legalized drugs no one would blow up houses cooking meth, right?

Anyway for those of you who don’t know Hailee’s was the scene of a early morning shooting which is said to be a drug deal gone bad. Now the owner is upset that Mauldin wants to nip this nonsense in the bud:

The owner of Hailee’s Sports Bar and Grill on Woodruff Road says his bar stays open to 5 AM. And by state law he can continue to sale beer and wine after two AM. The owner believes city leaders are targeting him because of recent shootings in his parking lot. The change in the ordinance would impact his business. The city’s six other bars would not be affected by the ordinance because they close at two AM. The ordinance first reading is scheduled for Monday.

Poor baby. He just wants to stay open and not sell alcohol but pay a staff to work there including security. Out of the goodness of his heart. If I wasn’t so busy I’d show up at that reading and tell the council I support it. But Monday’s are tight for me – I’ll be busy not selling drugs in a bar I own.

Two men are were arrested after police officers and sheriff’s deputies raided a home with a meth lab inside.

Simpsonville Police officers and Greenville County Sheriff’s deputies served a warrant at a home at 1208 East Yellow Wood Drive in Simpsonville on Tuesday. When deputies went inside the residence to search, one of the men, identified as James William Thompson III, was not present.

According to a Simpsonville Police Department spokesman, other suspects at the residence stated that Thompson was at a home at 603 South Street in Simpsonville. Once investigators arrived at the home, the owner of the home, identified as Johnny Walter Parker, gave officers permission to look for Thompson inside, and Thompson was found and placed under arrest.

I won’t bother posting their pictures because, let’s be honest, people in the area already knew who they were. Happy now?

Back in April Misty Dawn Dawson told her boss she wasn’t feeling well so she had to go home early. Before getting in her car she popped an unknown amount prescription pills. The intoxicated woman passed out on the way home and killed an SCDOT worker when her car careened out of control. After reading through her story I put forward that she sounded like an addict, to which a supposed friend of hers named “Elizabeth Upchurch” took great exception and left this comment on my original piece:

Misty is NOT a drug/alcohol abuser. I’ve known her for 17 years & were very close friends
ends growing up. Even during those difficult teen years, Misty didn’t indulge in the drug/drinking/smoking sometimes associated with growing up in small-town USA. She’s actually a very hard-working person, devoted mother of 2. She has NO criminal history or history of alcohol/substance abuse. I believe this was a terrible tragedy which most-likely stemmed from an unforeseen reaction or a direct result of the illness she experienced just prior to the accident. I know she’s had some serious health issues in recent years. Its also possible she sustained some head injuries in that accident, which could’ve resulted in the memory loss she reports at the time of impact. As an above-poster mentioned, its highly unfair to label someone as “…an addict needing her fix”. She grew up in some unimaginable circumstances & worked very hard to make a good life for herself. My heart goes out to the victim’s family but to misty too. She was always the “voice of reason”, exuding maturity far beyond our years. How many can HONESTLY say they HAVEN’T taken allergy/cold products & have operated some form of transportation? I am in NO WAY justifying the act of ignoring t
he warnings on medicines (OTC or prescription). Its just unfair to label her without a proper investigation. She has had some serious medical issues over the years of which could have also been a contributing factor. I believe she made a bad judgment call in taking the medication & drive. So before you go posting inaccurate & potentially slanderous info, you should attempt to get your facts straight.

Slander? Interesting. Perhaps Elizabeth would be willing to return and explain away the fact that as I write this Misty “voice of reason” Dawson is sitting in the Greenville County Detention Center with her bail revoked. Why on earth would her bond have been revoked?

Commenter Tim is probably right when he says it’s due to her being caught in another DUI.

I don’t have a problem with people being addicts. But I do have a problem with them letting their addictions hurt others. She already killed a man while driving around high, and since her bail was revoked she has probably been caught driving under the influence again. How can anyone defend this cretin?

Simpsonville’s Christy Lane Smith either likes to pop pills or makes some money on the side. The nurse was caught stealing pain pills from  the Mary Black Memorial Hospital in Spartanburg. From GoUpstate:

Christy Lane Gibson, 34, of 8 Rustling Creek Court, was charged by the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control’s criminal investigation division with two counts of theft of a controlled substance.

According to arrest warrants, Gibson, a registered nurse at the Spartanburg hospital, took hydromorphone and morphine from the hospital. Both are painkillers used to treat moderate to severe pain.

The incidents occurred between Feb. 28 and March 25, the warrants state.

The arrest was “based on DHEC investigation, Mary Black Memorial Hospital narcotic records, witnesses’ statements and the defendant’s sworn, written, voluntary statement,” according to the warrants.

She is out on a $10,000 bond. The hospital she worked at released a statement that reveled she’d only been working there since January. Think she got the job just to get access to the pills?

Hey, wait a minute. These pills are legal yet drug users still commit crimes involving obtaining them. That doesn’t make sense, right Libertarians?
