Billy Joe Lynch got caught in an Internet sting where a cop from the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office posed as a 14-year-old girl. Lynch attempted to meet this imaginary child for sex, and was of course caught emailing nude pictures of himself her:
Columbia, S.C(WACH) – A Greer man could receive a 10 year sentence for trying to solicit sex from a “14 year old girl.”
Billy Jo Lynch, 30, of Greer, South Carolina, was arrested on March 1, 2012, in an Internet Predator sting conducted by the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office.
The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office is a member of the Attorney General Alan Wilson’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Lynch was arrested on one count of Criminal Solicitation of a Minor, a felony offense punishable to ten years imprisonment, and two counts of Dissemination of Obscene Material to a Minor, a felony offense punishable to ten years imprisonment on each count.
Arrest warrants say beginning October 21, 2011, Lynch solicited sex on the Internet from an individual he believed to be a fourteen year old girl. The “child” was a Georgetown County Sheriff’s Deputy. The warrants say Lynch also emailed nude photographs of himself to the “child.”
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Greenville Police Department, both members of the Task Force, assisted with the case.
A bond of $25,000 was assigned to Lynch. This is the 303rd arrest for the Task Force.
Good work officers! It should be noted that South Carolina’s age of consent is an absurdly low 16 so Billy Joe could legally take advantage of all the children he wants, but like all perverts he doesn’t just prefer young girls he gets off on doing something wrong. Well now he can get off in prison where his cell mates will be doing something wrong to him.

This scumbag was found with a collection of pornography that consisted of videos of children between 3 and 10 being molested and raped. In 1994 he himself had raped a child. All he got was a lousy 20 years. He should have gotten life.

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) – A Greenville sex offender was sentenced to 20 years in prison Tuesday after being convicted of downloading sexually explicit videos of children.
Frederick Chappell, 44, was found guilty of five counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
He was supposed to do 20 years after his 1994 conviction but got out in ’05, so I suppose ten years from now he’ll be out and up to the same thing.
And you read that right, he was on the registry while downloading child rape videos. So much for that low recidivism rate.
