Just a rumor, but Melinda Sue Cuddy is something of a known small timer. There’s a comment on WYFF’s report by someone who claims to know the woman:

I have known Melinda since she was a little kid. She was hateful, mean-spirited brat. As an adult, she has constantly been busted for a variety of crimes, given a slap on the wrist, then released right back out on society to wreak more havoc on her friends, family, and neighbors. Her crimes have slowly escalated over the past 10 years…..wonder when something will ever finally be done about her? ~smh & sighs~

A couple of years ago a Melinda Sue Cuddy of Easley, who I assume is this same woman, was arrested for drug charges and 48 counts of  financial identity theft:

An Easley woman has been arrested on drug charges and 48 counts of financial identity fraud.

Melinda Sue Cuddy, 32, of 107 Lockwood Ave. was arrested on Jan. 24 by Pickens County Sheriff�s Office deputies.

The arrest was the result of a search warrant issued for her residence where multiple pieces of U.S. mail and personal checks were located, according to authorities. These items were identified as stolen from postal mailboxes. Postal Inspectors were actively investigating these thefts, according to authorities.

Since that bust was in 2007 and trials take awhile we can safely assume she didn’t get much time. Now they’re facing 20 years but I’m not holding out much hope.

GREENVILLE, S.C. — Some players on the Greenville Force, an indoor football team, said Tuesday that they have not been paid in several weeks.

“Basically I’ve been up here for 12 weeks and all I can really say I can account for is $250,” said Isaac West, a player with the Force.

West said that he jumped at the opportunity to play football again in Greenville, but said things have not turned out the way he thought they would.

“There are times when I can’t even put gas in my car,” West said. “I can’t even go to the store and buy something to eat and get some food, but we’re supposed to be getting paid every week.”

West said that those who manage the team are not keeping up their end of the contract. He said that he is owed money for four games.

“The promises that were made to us haven’t come through,” said Willie Idlette, another Greenville Force player. “We signed a contract and everything is laid out — the pay, the compensation, the hours. Everything we thought would be needed to run a professional organization.”

The problem is that Tony Wells, the owner of the team, purchased them when they were already in deep financial trouble and he’s claiming an investor backed out of a deal recently so there is just no money to be had. But most businesses that run into that either file for bankruptcy or take drastic steps to improve cash flow.

But if you’re like me you’ve never even really heard of the Force. I’d put forward that that fact alone makes cutting the budget so that players can get paid easy since Wells has two community relations workers, a “Danzforce coach” and two sales reps. They also have a full coaching staff, including a special teams coach.

I’m thinking there’s some fat that can be trimmed until the team becomes profitable.

Businesses like this are going to need to follow the old business cliche of thinking outside the box. The Greenville Force are not just competing with other indoor football teams in games, but against high school football, college ball and the big leagues in the war for putting behinds in seats. You’re going to need to give people a reason to come see these games and the fact that you have some good players isn’t enough.

In a replay of what happened after Mark Sanford dropped Folks when it came to light that Folks was a violent degenerate who liked to beat women in drug and alcohol fueled rages, Folks has started slinging mud at Nikki Haley like he’s the proverbial woman scorned. I wrote about Folks’ criminal history before in a post which included information on his role and motivation in keeping the Mark Sanford affair a big story. Here’s a quick summary for those who never heard of him before:

Who’s Will Folks, some of you might ask? Well he once worked for Sanford, starting out as a campaign worker and later went on to embarrass Sanford several times while working for him.

Sanford stood by this douche until Folks roughed up his fiancée, a woman named Ashley Joy Smith. Just a couple of months after that assault Folks found his ex at a bar called The Black Porch and flipped out on her so bad that an arrest warrant was issued for him. You can read an archived news article about those incidents here courtesy Brad Warthen’s Blog. Sanford dropped him like the sack of dung he was (Mark may be a cad, but he’s an old fashioned cad) and Folks has, according to the muscadine vine, held a grudge ever since. Apparently he seems to believe that people made too big a deal of his abuse and insanity.

Folks worked as Sanford’s trained attack dog until Sanford cut ties with him over Folks’ abusiveness. Then Folks spent the last few years lying in wait, pouncing on Sanford whenever possible. Now when Haley has decided not to use this political consultant, Folks, at the behest of a candidate who should be ashamed of himself and should expect similar treatment by Haley supporters in the future, rolls out a smear campaign that’s not just libelous but patently absurd.

Will Folks is claiming he had a sexual relationship with Nikki Haley.

Now I was going post pictures of both people to show how fanciful this charge is but this is too serious an issue to make jokes about. Suffice to say that I met Nikki Haley at a meet and greet and she is a very beautiful woman with class and charm. Will Folks is a bloated, overaged frat boy who “pops the collar” of his pink Polo shirts while trying to convince the 17-year-olds he trolls for in Hot Topic he’s “still cool.”  Will Folks is literally White trash, human refuse that congealed in the gutter of South Carolina politics and makes a living getting on the shoes of candidates then crying when he’s scraped off.

I’m thinking Nikki Haley could do better if she wanted to cheat.

Whether Folks was hired by another candidate or is just a spiteful douchebag is irrelevant. When it’s proven Folks is lying you’ll see that this, for all you people who don’t know what libel means and constantly threaten me with frivolous lawsuits, is literally actionable libel. Folks has disseminated a false allegation specifically designed to damage Haley. That, not name calling, is what slander and libel cases entail. Folks should be sued, and when he is he will lose badly.

Will Folks is defrauding the public with his lies and attacking a candidate that has stood up against the corruption of our state. Let’s hope Folks is held accountable for what he’s done.

Vote Haley!

Ojua responded by telling the judge if he gave him bail he’d be able to release several million dollars held in trust by a long lost relative.

Bacteria and viruses are spread through contact.  This means that you can contract a genital disease by shaking an infected person’s hand and then touching your genitals.  You people need to think before you go on your tirades to destroy and kill people.  People get genital warts and gonorrhea without sexual contact all the time.  That’s fact.  Think. Learn. Breathe.

So this person’s theory is that a toddler shock hands with a guy whose gonorrhea was leaking out his fingertips, then the little girl rubbed her magical hand gonorrhea on her genitals, possibly while changing her own diaper.

The worst part about this is that no one in the comments challenged this nonsense and this is not the first time I’ve heard this theory. What are people learning in schools that makes them think it’s possible to get the clap from shaking hands?

If I had a kid I wouldn’t want to find out. Home school them before some teacher tells them they can be vaccinated against car accidents.

After being on the run for a few days the world’s dumbest check forger has been caught. Don’t be too impressed with the detective work though, Candy Marie King forged checks to herself using her real name:

Greenville sheriff’s deputies have arrested a 40-year-old Greenville woman who they say forged child support checks and took other checks that she wrote to herself.

Investigators said between Feb. 22 and March 5, King acquired the routing and account number of the Greenville County Family Court Child Support account, and manufactured illegal documents resembling Family Court checks.

Employees from Family Court found the discrepancies during a daily internal audit and notified the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said King made the checks payable to herself, added Clerk of Court Paul Wickensimer’s name, and cashed them at area businesses.

King faces three forgery charges related to falsified documents from to the Greenville County Family Court account.

King faces an additional eight forgery charges in connection to other incidents dating back to Sept. 24, 2009.

I’m surprised this took so long to come to light. But using her real identity to run a check scam wasn’t the only dumb thing she did:

Investigators said King obtained other checks belonging to two separate victims, one of whom she knew, and made the checks payable to herself, cashing them at area businesses.

They should give her extra time for stupidity. This scam was like robbing a bank by demanding the teller put all her money in your account.

Hindman is charged with theft of government funds and health care fraud. If convicted, Hindman could receive 10 years in prison and up to $250,000 for each count.

McDonald said the case was investigated by agents of the Social Security Administration and the Office of Inspector General.

I say she’s a moron because almost all stores have cameras these days. It’s like she wants to be caught:

MAULDIN, S.C. — Mauldin police asked for the public’s help on Friday in identifying a woman who used a stolen credit card at an Upstate store.

The fraud occurred on Jan. 12 at a local pharmacy, according to a release from police.

Investigators said the woman purchased several items, and the transaction was captured by video surveillance.

Police asked anyone who can identify the woman or knows her whereabouts to contact Detective Benjamin Ford of the Mauldin Police Department at 864-289-8900.

Anyone who assists in this investigation can remain anonymous, according to the release.

Criminals are stupid.

So far, two people have stopped by the home on Ontario Court asking to rent it. The problem is the home isn’t for rent, but a posting on the free classifieds Web site Craigslist says it is.

The Crosses say someone copied information and even pictures of the home from a Realtor’s Web site without anyone’s knowledge. The posting asks those interested to reply through e-mail. The couple has been told the fake owner wrote back asking to be wired a deposit and $650 in rent money to Nigeria, where the fake owner is supposedly working.

Ah, yes, Nigeria: proud birthplace of pantybomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab and online scam capital of the world.

The Crosses have alerted Craigslist by flagging the fraudulent post, and are hoping their story will raise awareness about this type of scam.
