Article by Evan Will

Well as it turns out the sign above was posted on the front door of the owner’s house in the Greer Double Shooting. Now personally, I’m not a fan of advertising gun ownership to the outside world. Maybe it’s my mom that always told me, “Don’t tell your friends or anyone about dad’s gun closet, people will want to come and steal them.” And she’s right. You can’t really trust anybody – especially criminals. And this is notice to all you hot shot hunters out there with that nifty Browning sticker on the back windshield of your truck. It advertises to bad guys you have guns – come break into my truck or home.

Ok…you’ll be ready but there’s something about being discreet to me that gives you an advantage. Always. As Sun Tzu said in The Art of War – let your enemy think you are weak, as for him to let his guard down and feel confident in his attack, then
strike with surprise force and vanquish him. Or something to that degree. You get the idea.

I’m not blaming the older man that died – I blame the criminal. But Tamika came armed…expecting a fight. Were they after this guy for his guns? Or just a little money. I think they were after his guns. Or really really stupid to knock on this man’s door and pull a gun on him. I only wish he had saved himself. He damn well got her. Out of my cold dead hands, indeed.

I’ve never been to “Rugged Warehouse” and this might be the city boy in me talking but it sounds like a gay men’s fetish club. Their website seems to indicate they’re some sort of discount clothing chain. I haven’t seen any review of the store and can’t be bothered to go their myself to check it out, but I did see that they have an “F” rating from the Better Business Bureau.

Not that any of that matters to the story:

Police in Greenville are looking for two men involved in an attempted armed robbery at the Rugged Warehouse on Haywood Road.

Investigators say it happened around 11 p.m. on December 23 when the suspects, described as two black males, forced employees back into the store as they were leaving for the night.

One of the men had a handgun and pistol whipped the manager after the alarm sounded, according to employees.

They say the two men made off without getting any money.

If you have any information that may help investigators, you’re urged to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.

Hope they catch the two men who wanted to “pistol whip” other men in the back room of “Rugged Warehouse.” I suggest checking the Out of Bounds bookstore.

Of course, one is actually an adult at 19 so as usual we see the local media minimizing the crime by describing people who should do a couple of years in prison as children.

In the past few years Greenville has seen an increase in homeless youths as the city becomes more hospital to the drifting masses making the “circuit” from the big northeastern cities in the summer to the deep south in the winter. Despite the PC nonsense the majority of homeless have severe drug and alcohol problems – which is why they can’t get into shelters or section 8 housing. The mugshots of the two above seem to indicate they too like the drugs and seem to either be homeless or simply trying to fit in with homeless freinds. Since police caught them sitting in a public garage rather than fleeing the area I assume they hit this lady for drug money. The downtown is lousy with dealers these days.

From MSNBC:

Two teenagers were arrested after police say they robbed a woman at knife-point in downtown Greenville.

Acacia Brooke Pitts, 19, and Morgan Jean Key, 17, were arrested.

Pitts is charged with having an unlawful weapon, giving false name to police, armed robbery and possession of a knife during a violent crime.

Key is charged with giving false information to police, armed robbery, possession of knife during a violent crime.

The victim told police that the teens, who were armed with a knife, approached her last Thursday and she gave them her purse.

The victim was able to provide a description and police said the teens were found in the stairwell of the Bowater parking garage, dressed in the clothing the victim had described.

Police say both teens confessed to the robbery.

Throw the book at them!

Cops are thinking there is no link between the incidents in Greenville and Spartanburg, but it’s odd to see these incidents crop up so suddenly.

Anyway here’s an update from GoUpstate:

The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office released a sketch Wednesday related to a pair of incidents in which residents reported being pulled over by a man posing as a law enforcement officer.

The sketch was developed from information provided by a victim of an incident on Old Spartanburg Highway on Monday, according to a written statement from the sheriff’s office.

The man, who is labeled a person of interest, is described as a clean-cut white male, 30 to 35 years old, with a crew-cut hairstyle. The man is reported to be 6-foot-4 to 6-foot-5 and weigh about 280 pounds — but with a muscular build. He was wearing a navy blue windbreaker and dark blue cargo pants, and driving a dark blue Chevy Tahoe with blue strobe lights in the grill, according to the statement.

Monday’s incident, which allowed officers to generate the sketch, was the second reported in Spartanburg County. The first was reported Nov. 16, when a woman said she was pulled over by a man she thought was a law enforcement officer. The man grabbed her from her car and sexually assaulted her on Nazareth Road, according to investigators.

“At this point in our investigation, there has been no evidence or information discovered that connects the two cases reported in Spartanburg County,” said Lt. Tony Ivey in a written statement issued Wednesday.

[...]

Greenville County Sheriff’s Deputy Zachary Hinton said in an email that the latest Greenville incident occurred in the Phillips and Gibbs Shoals roads area in Greer on Tuesday about 4:45 p.m.

A woman told officers she was driving down Phillips Road when she passed a black SUV, possibly a GMC Envoy. She said that the vehicle turned around and came up behind her with blue lights and a siren. The woman said the blue lights appeared to be coming from the interior of the vehicle.

The woman told officers that she tried to call law enforcement to verify the traffic stop before she pulled over but before she could, the SUV turned around and left, Hinton said.

“It is undetermined at this time if this is connected to any other incidents currently under investigation,” Greenville County Sheriff’s Deputy Zachary Hinton said.

Seems odd that multiple incidents of the same MO are happening now. If I were a cop I’d start checking if there are any new police supply shops in the area. Take a look at the sketch and be wary.

I blame the schools, rap music and 50+ years of liberal patronage. The need to tack an extra five to ten on their sentences for stupidity:

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) – Greenville Police said they need the public’s help gathering information from an October armed robbery.

Police said on Oct. 27, two black males wearing hooded coats used a shotgun to rob someone at River and Rhett streets.

Police said the victim’s debit card was used the following day at a gas station in Spartanburg.

Surveillance video from the gas station shows the SUV that police said they believe belongs to the armed robbery suspect.

Police said the video shows a green Chevrolet Tahoe with two distinct stickers on the rear window.

If you see these people call crimestoppers – then scratch “moron” into their doors with your keys. Robbing people is evil, going to stores you know are being filmed with the cards you know are being traced is retarded. So let’s hope the evil retards get locked up before they start trying to roofie women with Draino or whatever their next no doubt asinine plan

Fox Carolina is reporting on what has to be the world’s dumbest caper, complete with the perps having their car and video taped in front of the store. But they don’t mention the most interesting thing. The above surveillance pic seems to show a young man dressed up like Norman Bate’s mother breaking into a fabric store. I would just think this was an interesting tid bit that a report might mention:

Greenville Police said that officers responded to a front glass break alarm on Oct. 13 at about 4:23 a.m. at the Glidden Professionals store at 101 Verdae Blvd. in Greenville.

Police said the right front door’s glass was broken out. After searching the business, no suspects were found.

According to an incident report, the store owner’s said the only thing missing was the cash register’s money drawer containing approximately $50.

Video surveillance from the neighboring BILO store did not show a suspect vehicle arriving or leaving the scene.

According to another incident report, officers were called to the Hancock Fabrics store in the same shopping center on Oct. 13 at 6:30 a.m.

A fabric store employee said that nothing was missing and the safe was still locked, but the front left door’s glass had been shattered, according to the report. The cash register had been tampered with but the report did not say if any money was stolen.

The incident report said that a surveillance video from the fabric store showed a suspect pulling up in front of the store in a blue or dark color four-door vehicle around 4 a.m.

The video showed a suspect striking the door with a baseball bat and handing it off to another person before entering the store through the opening in the door.

The report said the suspect wearing dark gloves and a light brown stocking cap looking for something to take but leaving when he did not find anything of value.

Police said the suspect appeared to be driving a dark-colored, early 90s Nissan Maxima.

OK, it could be a pair of baggy shorts and a blue sweatshirt. But I’m telling you that looks like a blue house dress to me. And he/she seems to be wearing the kind of slippers my great-grand mother was fond of. Strange stuff.

There have been several incidents in the Haywood Mall parking lot which police say are connected. WYFF, no doubt guided by an internal political correctness policy, decided the connection was that in all three incidents people were “asked” for money:

According to a police report, on April 27, a man said he was approached by a person with a handgun and was taken to his bank ATM to get $500.

Then on May 22, another victim said he was “swindled” out of the money when a man said he needed $500 to tow and repair his car.

Rampey said a third incident this week at the mall also occurred, but was different because the teenager said the man approached him for money, and would not leave him alone until he gave him $45.

“We are not sure if the incidents are all related or not,” said Rampey.

Er, that first incident definitely was not asking. The third one seems suspiciously like a reporter trying to downplay a strong arm robbery. In fact none of these episodes have anything in common with each other unless you remember that earlier in the article a police source says that the crimes were perpetrated by “similar” people.

WYFF of course has no description of these people. You wouldn’t want people to know what this dangerous criminal looks like after all, then they could keep themselves safe.

Fox Carolina at least narrows it down to a man in his 30s. When will the scourge of crime by these chameleon like bogeymen end?

A tipster who is a “hobbyist” sent me this ad on the Adult Services section of Backpage. The word on the street is that most escorts aren’t reporting robberies out of fear of retaliation because their are gangs moving into the area. To protect themselves many of the working girls are refusing to see Black and Latino men, so non-White whoremongers you’re SOOL. Here’s what the ad says:

please be aware of this number 864-451-96**
this guy and robbed me had me in the hostipal for three weeks

Bad scene. I’d encourage the woman to go to the police but she’s not going to. I’m pretty sure this thug probably changed numbers so be careful out there ladies. Or better yet stop hooking.

Late last year Paula Hendricks was arrested and charged with embezzling nearly $800,000 from F.W. Tool and Die Works Inc. In her tenure as office manger she fudged the books for several years to hide her thievery. As if she wasn’t in enough trouble the South Carolina Department of Revenue is hitting her with additional charges that can land her in jail for up to 40 additional years.

They’re Caponing her!

BELTON — Paula K. Hendricks, a Belton resident, was arrested Friday on felony income tax charges.

South Carolina Department of Revenue investigators charged Hendricks with eight counts of income tax evasion for 2002-2009.

From 2002 through 2010, Hendricks was a bookkeeper for a local manufacturer. Through a joint investigation by investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Revenue, Hendricks was accused of stealing more than $800,000 from her employer, according to the state Department of Revenue.

The investigation showed Hendricks failed to report the proceeds from the theft as income on her state tax returns.

Hendricks altered her employer’s financial records to conceal the illicit payments. She is also accused of altering W-2 forms that reduced her legitimate income earned in 2008 and 2009 in attempts to further lower her tax liability.

During the period of investigation, Hendricks is accused of failing to report more than $810,000 of income. As a result, she has an outstanding tax liability of approximately $57,939.

Ha! Death and taxes Paula. Have fun in prison.
