Authorities Looking for Woman Using Stolen Credit Card in Our Area

A Virginia woman’s credit card number has been stolen and used to buy $500 in gift certificates in Newberry, but the number has now been used in Mauldin and Laurens. The victim still has her credit card so I assume this woman has a “cloned’ card. She drives a White car which there are pictures of on the WLTX report:
Newberry, SC (WLTX) — Officers are searching for a young woman they say took a “compromised” credit card and bought $500 in gift cards, gasoline and cigarettes.
Investigators with the Newberry Police Department are searching for the woman pictured in the attached surveillance images.
Officers say the woman bought $500 in gift cards from the Walmart in Newberry, then walked next door to convenience store Murphy USA, where she bought gas and a carton of Newport cigarettes.
Authorities say the card number was also used in Laurens and Mauldin, each in the Upstate.
Investigators say the female victim, who lives in Virginia, still has her credit card.
The suspect used a white car, also seen in the pictures, according to officers. Police believe the woman is acting alone.
If you see this woman let someone know and what ever you do don’t let her pay with a credit card. Call CrimeStoppers of the Midlands at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
If You Don’t Want Your Son Going to Prison Don’t Name Him Dantevius
Just putting this out there but if you get “creative” with your kids names chances are you’re setting them up for a life of crime at best. A teen named Dantevius was one of three people picked up for robbing two Greenville banks and he wasn’t the only one with a stupid name:
Greenville County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man and charged him with robbing two county banks Friday.
Greenville County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Matt Armstrong said that deputies arrested 17-year old Lafonzo Jabril Burnside, of Greenville, at Rocky Creek Apartment on Woodruff Road just after 8 pm Friday night. Burnside was later charged with two counts of armed robbery.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the CPM Federal Credit Union, located at 6709 White Horse Road, just before 5 pm Friday. When they arrived, they learned that a black male, later identified by witnesses as Burnside, had gone into the bank wearing a long black wig, white shirt, tan pants and sunglasses and brandished a black gun, later said to be a BB gun, to the teller and demanded cash.
[...]
Deputies have charged Charity Magdalene Burnside of Greenville with two counts of armed robbery.
Dantevius Lamar Bland was also charged with two counts of armed robbery. Both are being held at the Greenville County Detention Center.
Poor Dantevius was denied bond for some reason.
But really, Lafonzo? Dantevius? Charity is the only one with a half-way normal name and that name sounds like a day shifter from Platinum Plus. How about we start cranking out some Wiliams and Alberts?

Greenville Bowling Alley Shooting Proves That Compliance with Criminals is Dangerous
This story goes to show that cooperating with people who have pulled a gun on you will probably not end well. If the person is in a car it’s best to flee (toward the rear of his car where it’s harder for him to make the shot) and find cover somewhere. As a man who’s had guns pulled on me more than once take my advice – better to be shot in the street where someone might call an ambulance than taken somewhere isolated and murdered slow.
When someone targets you if you cooperate you’re giving them the power to choose whether to rape or murder you. It’s your life and the criminal doesn’t care if you live or die. Learn to resist and defend yourself. From Fox Carolina:
GREENVILLE, S.C. — A man was shot in the face outside a bowling alley early Tuesday morning, Greenville police said.
The shooting happened at Star Lanes on South Pleasantburg Drive about 3:30 a.m.
Police said they were called to St. Francis Hospital in downtown after a man showed up with a gunshot wound to his face.
Investigators said the man told them he had walked up to a vehicle that he believed belonged to someone he met a nearby sports bar. The man said when he walked up to the car a man inside pointed a gun at him and demanded money.
The victim told police that as the gun-wielding man left he fire several shots from his vehicle, hitting him in the face.
Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to call Greenville County Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
As you can see when the gunman left, with what he wanted I assume, he still shot the victim. That’s pretty much how criminals operate – and why all those people who tell you to cooperate with criminals are actually trying to get you killed.
