You have no idea how many people Creech may or may not have murdered and you never will. I hope it is only one, but you know that his history makes that a hope, not a surety.

And as much as I’m against drug use and know that it leads to criminality, the fact is there are a lot of addicts out there who don’t murderer people, so it may be that drugs played a part in his decisions or lifestyle, but Creech was responsible for his actions. His addiction is more likely related to his perfidy than the other way around.

Joe has only been accused on murdering one woman, so to imply that others have “died at his hands” has no basis whatsoever. And no one else is responsible for what has happened even partially. Joseph has been trying for twenty-five years to get the right mixtures of medicine to help his mental illness. When he started mixing illegal drugs with that, all hope of finding the right balance was lost. It is a tragedy any way you look at it. To have a talented and intelligent person be so tormented in his mind is heartbreaking and to have that person be so high on drugs that he would take someone else’s life simply leaves me without the words to express my deep sorrow and grief.

Creech isn’t the victim here, the women he assaulted, raped and killed are. For years you sat back and watched him devolve and no one will ever know how many people died at his hands, which you are partially responsible for since you were there the whole time as you say.

I’ll save my sympathy for the women, not the murderer or his enablers.

I find it sad that people who do not know Joseph except through news articles to pass judgments.Yes,a terrible crime has occurred but a history of mental illness and a drug addiction can be a recipe for things like this. I have know Joesph all his life—and a lot of bad choices have been made, but he is still a person with family and friends who love him but hate what he is accused of doing. Instead of yacking about him, how about pray for him and his family and those of the victim.

Just wanted to comment and let you know that this is for sure the same Joseph Creech that took a shotgun to Woodruff High. He also went to jail a couple of years ago for stalking a woman. He should have been put away a long time ago. I hate that it got this far that someone had to lose their life.
