Local Media Shocked to Discover Illegal Immigrants Steal People’s Identities

Breaking news! Illegals use fraud and deception to get the documentation they need to work and collect welfare – and that often hurts other Americans and legal immigrants. I know, it’s a mid blower. Who would have though people who wouldn’t go through the proper legal channels to get into the country weren’t going to be law abiding citizens?

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) – According to the Greenville City Police Department, a worker at a Greenville hotel was accused of using someone else’s ID to get a job because she was an illegal immigrant.

According to the warrant request form, Maria Calixto, 33, worked at the Courtyard Marriott on 50 W. Broad St. for 15 months before authorities realized she had presented a counterfeit resident alien card and gave the name Yesenia Ibarra.

The document stated that Calixto gave the last four digits of Ibarra’s social security number to be accepted by the E-Verify system.

Calixto was paid for 15 months, according to police. The victim Ibarra was notified by the Iowa state unemployment commission that her social security number was being used in South Carolina, so she could not receive unemployment benefits.

The warrant request form said that Calixto admitted in a sworn statement that she committed the offense.

She didn’t do anything wrong – just made it so someone who did come into the country legally couldn’t get unemployment when they needed it. I mean, what’s wrong with that?

The sad thing is that this is a misdemeanor which can get her a fine of no more than $100 and 30 days in jail. Her victim has no doubt spent more than $100 dealing with this nonsense. What a great system.

How long have I been saying that? Even if they’re taking a legit SS# and changing one digit, it’s still going to end up being someone’s number. How did people think they were getting by in this country? You need a SS# for practically everything.

I like the land mine idea, but I prefer radar guided twin .50 cals every 50 yards. no need for border control agents… just one guy filling ammo cans and oiling guns. Can we do the same on the Canadian boarder too?
