North Carolina Murder Suspects Nabbed in Greenville

Quinton O'brian Surratt, Trumane Daurice Jefferies, & Donavan Lewis Hopper

Three 18-year-old fugitives sought in connection with Tuesday’s murder of Christopher Parrott, 27, in Shelby, NC have been arrested at a Greenville motel.  Quinton O’Brian Surratt, Trumane Daurice Jefferies, and Jonavon Lewis Hopper were taken into custody Thursday. The men are being held without bond at the Greenville County Detention Center.  WYFF4 reports:

Deputies from the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Shelby Police Department, North Carolina Bureau of Investigations, and local State Law Enforcement Division agents in the arrests at the motel near the intersection of Interstates 385 and 85.

Officers had been looking for the three men since Dec. 15.

During the arrests, officers seized nearly three pounds of marijuana and two handguns.

“That was one of the best examples of multi-agency cooperation,” Shelby Police Chief Jeff Ledford told The Shelby Star.

While reports are vague on the precise location of the arrests, sources say a Crime Scene Unit truck was seen at the Days Inn on Roper Mountain Road Thursday night.

The suspects will be held at the Greenville County Detention Center until they can be extradited to North Carolina.  It is not yet known why they were in South Carolina.
