Parmalee Is Now Officially The Greatest Band in the World

They’re no Black Sabbath. Or Lynard Skynyrd. Or Candlemass. Or any other band I like but they do take care of business the way I like. When two thugs, Demorrio Burris and Dytavis Hinton, decided they wanted to embark on a career of strong arm robbery they assumed a tour bus for a local Greenville band called Parmalee would be a easy mark.

Instead the duo found out that just Parmalee wasn’t some outfit full of skinny jean wearing sensitive “guys” but old school hard rockers in the tradition of Nikki Sixx (who produced some tracks on their album) and were more than ready for a fight:

ROCK HILL, S.C. — A man suspected in an armed robbery is dead after Rock Hill police said two men tried to rob members of a music group moments after they finished playing at a club there.

Police said Demorrio Burris and Dytavis Hinton, both 22, stepped into an RV parked outside The Money, a club on Cherry Road, early Tuesday morning.

Inside the RV were members of a band from Greenville, S.C., called Parmalee.

Hinton and Burris demanded money, police said, and opened fire on the men inside the RV. One band member had a gun and shot back. Burris was killed and Hinton was injured. One band member, 37-year-old Scott Thomas was shot and critically injured.

The incident happened across the street from dorms at Winthrop University. The campus of more than 6,000 students sits on Cherry Road. It’s a busy area, and police said a significant area for crime in the city.

All good rock and roll is played in clubs in the bad parts of town. Scott Thomas is in critical condition so keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Get well soon Scott Thomas and keep on rocking Parmalee:

the way I read the story, the “Drummer” didn’t roll up into the robbers house, it was the other way around. As a CWP holder, if I’m in my car, it is at that time like being in my house. I have the right to protect life and property with equal deadly force.

Hey everybody, if you want more info on how Scott is doing or would like to post comments that will be directly received by him and the rest of the band, go to! I’m sure they will appreciate everyone’s support.

OK it worked THIs time but putting guns into more hands will just make things WORSE. The cops should just patrol that place more. There are MANY incidents there.

Should we shit the cops out or grow them in cabbage patches?
