Pedophile Network on Tinychat and BlogTV Exposed

The arrest of 30-year-old Jason Bezzo was an eye opener to authorities for two reasons. The first was the astounding amount of pornography found on his computer. Reports say that he had 700 gigabytes of child pornography. I still use a computer with about 4 gigs of memory.

The second was that the investigation that led to his arrest exposed how pedophile networks operate online.

The biggest child porn collection London police have ever seen was secretly kept in a basement bedroom.

The owner of the stash, Jason Bezzo, 30, who admitted to his lawyer he was a “pervert,” was actively making and sharing child pornography with deviant Internet friends.

A tip from U.S. Homeland Security based in Pittsburgh, Pa., led to Bezzo’s arrest and the discovery of a whole new level of pedophile predators on the Internet who lure kids from children’s chat rooms to perform sex acts.

Bezzo had “by far the largest collection the cybercrime unit has seen,” said assistant Crown attorney Karen Bellhumeur. He had 19,000 videos of children, half of which were child pornography. Many of the movies were described as “grooming videos.

His image file used 600 to 700 gigabytes — translating into hundreds of thousands of images.

More disturbing was Bezzo’s role as a major link in a North American wide child porn ring that worked together to convince innocent children to follow their sexually motivated instructions.

A forensic examination of the computer revealed the sinister strategy to create child pornography. Bezzo had found people with similar sexual interests through Gigatribe, a file sharing program that also has a chat function.

Much of Bezzo’s collection came from users with names such as Jexter, Jag and Funhouse. Bezzo was known as “Derek.”

The group would access chat sites often used by kids such as and and would start communicating with them.

Using webcams they would “try to convince children to remove clothing, expose themselves and perform sex acts,” Bellehumeur said.

Bezzo recorded his chats on the program, hypercam2. On the computer, police found 183 movie files of children in webcam chats wearing little or no clothing. Bellehumeur described one movie of a naked 12-year old boy on his bed performing a sex act who would lean over and type on his computer.

In several of the movies, police could see the distinctive desktop images of Bezzo’s computer.

The chat group of porn producers would have conversations about their particular sexual interests and strategize how to convince kids to perform on camera. They would trade names and URLs of specific children to target and encourage each other to push their victims farther. They also discussed how not to be detected.

Bezzo would sometimes pose as “Sarah” and send his male victims videos of girls in sex acts and make them think “Sarah” was performing for them.

Bezzo admitted his involvement to police and with his files, police were able to arrest several of the Internet group’s American members. Some were hands-on offenders and authorities were able to rescue several children.

Why your children have webcams and all this free time is beyond me but that’s not the point. Look at the length child predators go o to gain access to your children, often in groups. Parents, study this article and let your kids know who’s out there looking for underage nudity.

Trench has more.

Thanks for posting this, Rob. You’ve added yet another post to my “to do” list for after the holidays. ;p

No, seriously though… thanks. I hadn’t seen this and have passed it on to friends to illustrate why they need to be more watchful of their children’s online activities. I mean, haven’t we been telling people for a while that this is what they do?

WTF? again I ask…. when did this become a everyday issue??? At almost 40, I don’t ever remember child porn being such a hot topic… I guess the internet makes it too easy for the scum to get together and “share” pics and stories…. what an awful disease on society. just gross.

The internet definitely makes it easier for them. They have their own message boards. You’d be shocked and appalled. Back in the day, they were definitely out there, but before the internet they didn’t have as easy a means of networking. The closest thing they had was organizations like NAMBLA, which put out newsletters.

Education is the key in all of this. Schools provide kids with computers now let’s teach not only how to use them but how to protect themselves while using them while on such things as internet chat sites.

There should be some type of device put in place where when a child is about to get themselves on cam on chat sites a message pops up for them to read (brief as possible though) making them aware they can be recorded by another person.

It really just pisses me off when I see kids on chat sites while on cam and they have a computer in their room with no supervision.

I go to a few chat sites (blogtv, JustinTv) and try to warn of such things but some do not believe or care. It’s a shame that things like this happen when education would really solve alot of this.

Lol you said you still use about 4 gigs of memory, you mean 4 gigs of hard drive space. Memory is separate from HD space.
