Simpsonville Teen Reports Rape

A 15-year-old girl told Simpsonville Police she was raped on April 1 by a 14-year-old peer at a home in the Bryson Meadows community while two other boys ignored her calls for help.  News Channel 7′s Jonathan Carlson has an exclusive report:

“The three young boys were playing,” the girl’s mother told us. “She felt uncomfortable–she went to the bathroom, because she didn’t know what to do. She didn’t know how to go about leaving. The two boys were going upstairs–the {third} boy pulled her into the living room {and} he pushed her over the arm of the chair.”

And sexually assaulted her. The girl told police she was lured to the home by a boy she liked. The 14 year old she says raped her, was not him. And she says she told him–no.

“When she was leaving—he kept asking her–’I didn’t know you were serious’ {about saying ‘no’}.” She says the teen kept saying, “This never happened–this never happened–and she said she just looked at him in tears and ran out the door.”

When asked if the girl had a reason to lie, the mother said no, adding, “She knows the seriousness of what she is implicating with him.”

The 15 year old alleged victim, told us, “Right now I’m scared to go outside. I don’t want to see him.” She continued, “I was just saying–no–no–let me go–stop.”

Because the accused teen is related to a member of the Simpsonville Police Department, the case has been turned over to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.
