Does Jessica Blackham Still Have Contact with Her Baby?

Visitation?

A tipster emailed me yesterday with this tidbit about terrible mother Jessica Blackham who you’ll remember dropped her baby in a Bi-Lo Center toilet early this year:

I think this is messed up… The girl Jessica Blackham that had left her newborn baby in the Bilo center bathrooms I know her but not personally and they said that her daughter was taken from her and not allowed visitations here I go to the store today and who do I see…. !!! JESSICA BLACKHAM with her daughter wth. with her sister and her nieces come on now this state needs to take the baby and give thomas blackham full custody of her

Strange if true. Blackham has claimed that she has amnesia and is out on bond. I guess it’s possible that she was with some other baby but who thinks that’s a good idea? Can anyone confirm this?

Jessica Blackham Arrested in Bi-Lo Baby Case

The woman suspected of abandoning a new born in the Bi-Lo Center bathroom is a married 24-year-old mother of a four-year-old. So far no one is sure why the woman gave birth in a bathroom and simply left the child behind.

From Forbes:

GREENVILLE, S.C. — Authorities have arrested a woman they say left the infant she had just delivered in a toilet at a South Carolina sports and concert arena.

Police Chief Terri Wilfong says the 25-year-old woman from Easley is a married mother of a 4-year-old. Authorities say Jessica Blackham was arrested on Tuesday night after she came to the Greenville police station accompanied by family members.

She is charged with two counts of felony child abuse and one count of unlawful neglect toward a child. If convicted on all charges, she could face up to 50 years in prison.

Officials said they could not immediately explain what Blackham may have been thinking when she gave birth Friday night at the Bi-Lo Center in Greenville while attending a circus performance

Green Shoots! Two South Carolina Banks Closed by FDIC

According to Fox Carolina The Bank of Asheville and Community South Bank And Trust in Easley were closed by the FDIC over the weekend. The Bank of Asheville supposedly had $195,000,000 in assets but as people have pointed out for years banks have been counting properties that are in arrears and delinquent loans as assets. The bank of Asheville will be taken over by First Bank of Troy. Community Bank will be taken over by Certus Trust which is another Easely operation.

The FDIC is guaranteeing people’s money as usual but the FDIC has been bankrupt since last spring.

This brings the total of failed banks to 16 so far this year. In 2010 the number of failed banks totaled 157 and in 2009 it was 14o. The FDIC’s “troubled” bank list grew to 860 by September 30th of last year.

Central Officer Suspended After Roughing up Wife … With a Crucifix?

Jesus H. Christ:

EASLEY, S.C. — A Central police officer was suspended after he was arrested over the weekend.

Easley police said they were called to an apartment on Pebble Brook Drive on Sunday afternoon. Kyle Porter’s wife told police that he threw a crucifix at her, grabbed her by the neck and threw her on the couch.

Porter was charged with domestic violence and suspended without pay. No word yet on whether his church will excommunicate him for using a crucifix to assault his old lady.

Hmmm. He threw a crucifix at her and grabbed her by the neck and threw her down into what I assume was a prone position? Maybe he thinks she’s a vampire?

Now where did I put that restraining order...

The child was found safe in Ohio. The Easley Progress has mugshots of all three and I’m going to assume drugs were involved on this one. They have that too many oxys look to them. Thank the gods the cops found the kid before they sold her.
