Judy Mae Greer Murders Child to Sleep
Next stop for Judy Greer: Hell.
GREENVILLE, S.C. — Greenville police said that a 2-year-old was girl was shaken to death by a relative on Monday.
Officers were called the Greenville Memorial Hospital Monday morning where a doctor told them that the child, Jakorsha Dodd, had been brought into the emergency room at about 11:15 a.m. non-responsive and in respiratory distress. The doctor said Dodd was treated for injuries consistent with shaken baby syndrome.
Police investigators said they interviewed 51-year-old Judy Mae Greer, a cousin who was in the child’s home caring for the toddler. Greer told police she tried to rock the child to sleep. She said she shook the toddler until she became quiet and still.
Disgusting. Judy Greer is pretty much either the dumbest cretin in South Carolina, or pure evil. Either way, rot in Hell, Judy Mae.
Shocka! Gunfire Reported at Piedmont Manor Complex
Gunshots were reported at the Piedmont Manor housing complex in Greenville Friday afternoon, surprising no one familiar with the drug-infested neighborhood.
Several shell casings were found, said Sgt. Jason Rampey, a police spokesman.
“To our knowledge, no one was hit,” Rampey said. The incident occurred off Old Augusta Road in a neighborhood north of the Donaldson Center.
Rampey said officers found evidence that up to 10 shots were fired, as casings were found in the complex’s parking and other areas.
“But we don’t know if it was a single gunman or an exchange of gunfire,” he said.
No injuries were reported.
In other news, wheels are round and rain is wet.
Eight High School Basketball Players Suspended Over Brawl
Something tells me that a school that can’t control their sports teams at games has more problems than poor sportsmanship:
GREENVILLE, S.C. — Eight Abbeville High School athletes were suspended on Thursday after a brawl at the team’s basketball game against Southside High School on Wednesday night.
Southside High School was hosting Abbeville High School on Wednesday night. A scorekeeper at the game told FOX Carolina that the referees made some controversial calls during the game, but Southside beat Abbeville 61-51.
Deputies said that when fans started to run out onto the floor after the victory, two players began fighting. They said that the fight spilled into the crowd. They said that before it was over, even some parents were throwing punches.
Stay class,y Abbeville parents. School officials are shocked, shocked, that his precious young charges would act in this way:
“We take good pride in the character of our kids,” said Abbeville High School Principal Dr. Steve Glenn, who was also at Wednesday’s game. “For something like this to happen, it’s out of character for our kids. We are very embarrassed that it did happen.”
I bet. There’s no word yet on whether any charges will be filed for what is essentially a riot. I would put forward that is part of the problem with the kids. Cooling their heels in county would probably make them a little less quick with their fists.
Greenville Deputy Stops Violent Robbers with Hot Lead! Greenville News Not Happy
Looks like the Greenville deputies bagged a couple of bad guys last night, although to read Paul Alongi’s version of the events on GreenvilleOnline you’d think the cops were trigger happy:
A man suspected of robbing a convenience store on Easley Bridge Road was shot twice tonight during a confrontation with a Greenville County sheriff’s deputy, authorities said.
He is expected to survive, said Lt. Shea Smith, spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office.
The man was one of two people suspected of robbing a Citgo convenience store at 784 Easley Bridge Road, Smith said.
A deputy on patrol was near the store when he saw two men wearing ski masks come out, Smith said, and chased them behind the store. That is where shots rang out, he said.
Both men got into a car which crashed a short distance away, Smith said.
Alongi left out an important detail in this shooting however:
GREENVILLE, S.C. — Greenville County deputies said that a man involved in a robbery on Tuesday night was shot, after he pulled a gun on the deputy.
Investigators said that two men robbed the Corner Mart on Easley Bridge Road, and got away with cash.
Officials said that a deputy saw the two masked men running to a getaway car near the Corner Mart. They said the deputy chased the pair, and shot the driver of that car. They said the driver and passenger crashed their car into a tree on West Street.
Both men were arrested.
Seems to me that a slight omission in a story can completely change what readers infer. Maybe Alongi doesn’t realize that his wording can lead people to believe that the cops just gunned down some possibly innocent suspects whereas the real story is that the thugs pulled a gun on the deputy.
Or maybe as usual The Greenville News has a political interest in painting the cops as jack booted fascists.
Berea 6th Grader Arrested for “People to Kill” List
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is calling it a prank, but parents of Berea Middle School students aren’t so sure.
A 12-year-old student in the sixth grade at Berea Middle School was charged Thursday with disturbing the school after deputies say she compiled a “people to kill” list. The list contained the names of eight students, and was left on the floor outside the assistant principal’s office.
A sixth-grader was questioned and charged with disturbing school, however, officials said there was no indication the girl intended to carry out the plan. According to a press release from the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, the girl was not in possession of any type of weapon, and she told the deputy the note was just a prank.
Parents of the students on the list were notified by school officials.
Pamela Campbell says her husband got a call from the principal saying their grandson was on the list. She is her grandson’s guardian.
“That’s just not normal,” she said of the note. “You just don’t write stuff like that down.”
The girl was released into her parents custody. Her case will be heard in family court and she has been suspended from school with a possible expulsion pending.
Let’s hope this is a wake-up call for her family. This is a textbook cry for help. Whether or not she had a weapon is moot. Pranks involving “people to kill” lists are dangerous territory, and a clear sign that it’s time to get this kid the help she’s obviously reaching out for.
