Two Men Sought in Hagood Park Assault

A man went to meet a friend at Hagood Park in Easley when he spotted a pretty girl and decided to chat her up. While doing so two men ran up and assaulted the man with a baseball bat, knocking him unconscious and robbing him. Here’s a description from GreenvilleOnline:

The subjects were described as having short hair, riding bicycles and both wearing blue jeans. One wore a green shirt, and the other wore a white shirt.

One of the men was described as a black man about 5 feet, 9 inches tall, and the other was described as a black man about 5 feet, 11 inches tall.

It’s nice to see a reporter publish a usable description. Good job Julie Howle!

Now, I’m not a professional detective but it seems to me that when a man on his way to “meet a friend” stops to chat up a girl in a park and is then blind sided there’s more to the story. Many a robbery team uses a woman as a distraction for example and though there is a quote in the article that implies both were assaulted only the man had injuries described. On the other hand “meeting a friend” may be a euphemism depending on the time of day. I’d sure like to know a little more about this case.

No pressure Julie, just putting it out there.
