Victimless Crime File: Three Children and Elderly Invalid Trapped in Meth Hell
But hey, if meth was legal people wouldn’t cook it at home because it would automatically become cheaper – like cigarettes, booze and prescription drugs which are all to be had at rock bottom prices. And in this magical society of legalized drugs addicts would never run out of money and their behavior would never become dangerous to others, right?
From the TR Tribune:
LANDRUM, S.C. – Three people were arrested and three children were removed from a northern Greenville County home after deputies say they discovered a methamphetamine lab inside the residence.
Around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Office received information that meth was being manufactured inside a home located at 406 S. Glassy Mountain Road in Landrum.
Investigators obtained a search warrant, and chemicals and equipment used to manufacture methamphetamine were found, according to Master Deputy Laura Campbell.
According to arrest warrants, three minor children – a 4-month-old, a 20-month-old and a 14-year-old – were present in the home while methamphetamine was being manufactured. An elderly man, Brown’s father, was also found in the home, confined to a bed and unable to leave.
Raymond Lamar Brown Jr., 35, Chesnee Brooke Quinn, 18, and Timothy Jameson Frady, 33, were arrested and charged with six criminal offenses, including manufacturing methamphetamine, disposal of methamphetamine waste, three counts of unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine in the presence of a minor child, and abuse of a vulnerable adult.
This certainly would have turned out differently if meth were legal. Hey, anyone thing the two people in thier 30s “living with” and 18-year-old drug addict may have been exploiting her? And that given that fact it’s likely they were molesting the 14-year-old?
Nah. A meth head would never do that.
