Video of Fireworks Attack on Illinois Firefighters and Police

The video is long but worth viewing to see a representation of what happened in dozens of locations all over America during 4th of July celebrations. This is likely what the scene in Greenville was like. The attacks begin around 3:10 when fireworks are launched at fire engines. Reports of the night describe it as a “near riot” and that at least 200 pepper balls were used to disperse the crowd. Bottles and other debris were also thrown at officers and one first responder lost hearing in one ear from the attacks.
