Word on the Street: Don’t Stay at Super Lodge Inn and Suites on Mauldin Rd
The Mauldin Patch has details of a robbery where a 19-year-ld girl “visiting a friend” at Super Lodge Inn and Suites was robbed at gun point by a young Black male:
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a man who allegedly robbed a young woman along Mauldin Road on Monday night.
According to an incident report, a 19-year-old female was at the Super Lodge motel at 412 Mauldin Road visiting a friend. While she was waiting on a ride, an unknown black male approached her and robbed her at gunpoint. She was not injured.
The thief stole the woman’s wallet and cell phone before fleeing.
The suspect was described as a black male, age 18 to 22, standing 6 feet 2 inches to 6 feet 5 inches tall, and weighing between 250 and 280 pounds. The suspect was also described as wearing a black T-shirt and black denim shorts.
Now far be it from me to suggest there’s more to this story but Super Lodge is a “hot sheet” motel known for cheap prices, blood stains in the room and lots of prostitution. I won’t go so far as to say the victim was engaging in prostitution but I will warn young women who are “visiting a friend” at a sleazy motel known for prostitution to be cautious. Greenville is well known being a place escorts get robbed, especially by young Black males, so if you’re walking like a duck as they say people may not care if you can actually quack before robbing you.
If you’re not a hooker or buying drugs frankly you have no business in Super Lodge. Stay out of there and splurge for a room at a real hotel. If a place has rooms for under $100 you can’t trust the people staying there.
